VEIKK A50 Pen Tablet Review
First impressions, super thin, great size with a lovely design! This pen tablet was a breeze to set up, you download the pen tablet software via the website and it’s straight forward to map the keys and change the pen pressure. The pen is nice and light and importantly comfortable to use (does not require batteries). The pen also has 2 buttons on the side you can map your keys too. The actual drawing tablet has 8 buttons you can distinguish from each other as it has 4 slightly raised line bumps. Very pleased with how it feels to draw with and I really like using the track pad to zoom in and out while drawing.
How are the lines when drawing? It’s boasts a 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity. Using the pen slow or fast produced nice lines in Clip Studio Paint with no wobbles to the line itself as far as I could tell (although this would not be a problem as I use vector management and stabilisation in CSP).
Overall an affordable tablet that’s perfect for students and hobbyist looking to learn digital art, I wish I had this sort of quality tablet when I started to create digital art in 2005! I believe VEIKK have pen displays too so it might be even worth spending just a little bit extra and buying a drawing tablet with a screen from them.
- Thin and lovely design with a track pad that is really nice to use.
- Although it comes with a really nice case for the pen an included pen holder would have been handy.
